Time to put on the speculation hats. Marvel is continuing to expand their comic book universe on the small screen, but here’s the twist — it’s not going to be for a new character.
EW reports that John Ridley ("12 Years A Slave," "All Is By My Side," "American Crime") has been tapped by the studio to develop a new series for ABC that involves "reinventing" a current Marvel character/property. Hmm….any thoughts? It’s an intriguing notion and makes you wonder who Marvel wants to do-over or continue in a different way on the small screen. And it’s a top shelf talent being enlisted here, which also raises eyebrows.

Meanwhile, that’s not all the comic book company has cooking. They’re also working on an equally mysterious "Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D." spinoff. Again, no details on which characters will carry over or what will be involved, but expect people to start digging for clues.
