Got a Tip?

‘Big Time Adolescence’ Red Band Trailer: Pete Davidson Stars As A College Dropout In This Sundance Comedy

When you’re 16-years-old, you’re supposed to make dumb choices. It sort of comes with the territory, as your hormones are running wild and you feel invincible. But for most of us, we had our peers to rile us up and make us do dumb shit. In the new film, “Big Time Adolescence,” a teenager has college dropouts guiding his life, leading to some disastrous consequences.

As seen in the Red Band trailer for the new comedy, “Big Time Adolescence” follows the story of a teenage kid that keeps hanging out with his sister’s ex-boyfriend, despite the fact that he’s way older and a complete loser. This leads to nights drinking ungodly concoctions and getting “Tongue Daddy” tattooed on your chest. Basically, things that no 16-year-old kid should be getting involved with. But since this is a comedy and not a documentary, you’re allowed to laugh at the stupidity, as the hijinks keep escalating.

The film stars Pete Davidson, Griffin Gluck, Sydney Sweeney, Colson Baker aka Machine Gun Kelly, Thomas Barbusca, Emily Arlook, Oona Laurence, and Jon Cryer. “Big Time Adolescence” is written and directed by Jason Orley, who makes his directorial debut with the comedy.

We saw the film at last year’s Sundance, and in our review, we said, “Orley’s direction is fine, and the picture is well made for a low budget indie, but Davidson is all you’ll really remember when you leave the theater. And for many, that’ll be enough.”

“Big Time Adolescence” will arrive in select theaters on March 13 and on Hulu on March 20. You can watch the Red Band trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

A suburban teenager comes of age under the destructive guidance of his best friend, an aimless college dropout.
