‘A Working Man’ Final Trailer: Jason Statham Smashes Skulls In New Blue Collar Action Flick Hitting Theaters On March 28

After working together on the sleeper hit “The Beekeeper,” action director David Ayer (“Suicide Squad”) and star Jason Statham are reuniting for an upcoming adrenaline-fueled pic called, “A Working Man.”

A new final trailer that made its way to us from Amazon MGM Studios, highlights the former black ops military badass, Levon Cade (played by Statham), walking away from his quiet life on construction sites to combat human traffickers that have crossed him.

“A Working Man” is an adaptation of the book “Levon’s Trade” by Chuck Dixon that has a script penned by action icon Sylvester Stallone and Ayer. We’re still a little puzzled why Stallone himself didn’t end up making this for himself, but it’s worth mentioning his longstanding working relationship with Statham on “The Expendables” movies.

Michael Peña (“Ant-Man”) and David Harbour (“Thunderbolts*”) are also part of the film’s cast led by Statham, after previously working with Ayer on films such as “End of Watch.”

The film’s official logline from Amazon MGM Studios reads:

Levon Cade left behind a decorated military career in the black ops to live a simple life working construction. But when his boss’s daughter, who is like family to him, is taken by human traffickers, his search to bring her home uncovers a world of corruption far greater than he ever could have imagined.

While Ayer isn’t directing, a sequel to “The Beekeeper” is happening with filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto attached, who recently worked with Bob Odenkirk on “Nobody 2.”
