After the massive success of Season 1, Prime Video’s “The Boys” spinoff, “Gen V,” was, uh, primed to have a huge Season 2. However, after the unfortunate death of series star Chance Perdomo, there have been a lot of unanswered questions about the series’ return. Well, since the show is set to debut Season 2 fairly soon, we now have a much better look at what “Gen V” is going to bring fans anxiously awaiting its return.
As seen in the new trailer for Season 2 of “Gen V,” the series returns with a big-time ‘Boys’ crossover, as we see Starlight (played by Erin Moriarty) as she convinces our lead, Jaz Sinclair, that she has to return to Godolkin University. Obviously, if you watched Season 1, you can understand why that’s a huge ask.
The series stars Sinclair alongside Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, and Derek Luh. “Gen V” is showrun by Michele Fazekas, who takes over sole showrunning duties after splitting them with Tara Butters for Season 1.
“Gen V” is set to return with Season 2 debuting on September 17. You can watch the new trailer below.
Here’s the series’ synopsis:
From the world of The Boys comes Gen V, a thrilling new series set at America’s only college for superheroes. These gifted students put their moral boundaries to the test, competing for the university’s top ranking, and a chance to join The Seven, Vought International’s elite superhero team. When the school’s dark secrets come to light, they must decide what kind of heroes they want to become.
