An executive producer credit in a film can mean a lot of things. But many times, it’s a credit given to another filmmaker who is wholeheartedly endorsing the work. So when you see a lineup of filmmakers like Peter Farrelly, Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, and Jody Hill as EPs, you know the film is something they believe in. And that’s exactly the case for the upcoming documentary, “The Man Who Saves the World?”
As seen in the trailer for the film, “The Man Who Saves the World” is a doc about a filmmaker who goes on a mission to learn about Patrick McCollum, a spiritual leader, peace advocate, and perhaps even the man at the center of a prophecy. Yes, that’s right, the film dives deep into McCollum’s work and how he may actually be the man who is prophesied to unite the tribes in the Amazon. But is it all BS? You gotta watch the film and find out.
“The Man Who Saves the World?” is directed by Gabe Polsky. The filmmaker is probably best known for his docs, “Red Army,” “Red Penguins,” and “In Search of Greatness.”
“The Man Who Saves the World?” is set to arrive in theaters this fall. You can watch the trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
