17 Must-See April Films: ‘The Drama,’ ‘The Christophers,’ ‘Mother Mary,’ ‘Normal’ & More

It’s officially spring, and studios are already testing the water with some major, tentpole releases. This is evident in the sequel to the box-office hit, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” arriving in the first week of April. But there’s plenty more than just video game adaptations (though there are at least two this month alone)

Elsewhere, there’s the first of three collaborations between Zendaya and Robert Pattinson this year with the buzzy “The Drama.” Anne Hathaway reminds us (again) of her star power with “Mother Mary” before nostalgia strikes in May with “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” There are more action flicks with Bob Odenkirk, Italy-bound romance, the slick genre-workings of the prolific Steven Soderbergh, classic horror interpretations (in more ways than one), and more.
