‘Insidious: Out Of The Further’ Trailer: Jacob Chase’s Next Chapter In Ghostly Horror Franchise To Scare Audiences August 21

Insidious: Out of the Further” is coming to theaters in two weeks, and with that anticipation, a new trailer has made its way to us to share with moviegoers to prime them for a return to The Further, a place where lost souls and demons roam. This next story will act as a direct sequel to 2023’s “Insidious: The Red Door,” as Lin Shaye returns to the beloved role of paranormal guru Elise Rainier, who can help navigate that realm of the undead.

Writer/director Jacob Chase (“The Girl in the Woods,” “Come Play”) is behind the spooky pic, putting a script together from a story he hatched with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (“The Conjuring: Last Rites”) that also features actors Amelia Eve, Brandon Perea, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers.

The synopsis for the latest installment as provided by Sony Pictures:

“Gemma (Eve), a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in, discovers she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls at the heart of the Insidious universe. When something evil comes after her, Gemma discovers an ability that changes everything: she doesn’t just enter The Further; she can bring what lives there back to the real world. Once the demons realize her power, our world becomes their playground.”

A producing team assembled for the movie consists of Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan, and Leigh Whannell alongside a group of executive producers such as Steven Schneider, Ryan Turek, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones.
