Be Careful, 'Avengers: Endgame' Spoilers Have Hit Social Media 10 Days Before The Film's Release

We all knew it was bound to happen, but we didn’t think it would be this early. But according to various reports, it appears that some spoiler-heavy “Avengers: Endgame” screenshots, gifs, and videos have leaked on social media. So, tread carefully, Marvel fans.

CNBC says that the pictures and videos have already landed on Twitter and Reddit, and features what seems to be very legit images of scenes from the beginning, middle, and climax of the upcoming film. Full disclosure: The Playlist has not seen any footage, isn’t interested in looking at any of these leaks, and will actively avoid posting any spoilers between now and the day of the film’s release.

It’s always a shame when folks decide to spread spoilers around before the film’s release. According to the reports, no one is sure who started the leak, but it’s obviously someone with access to the film and we all know that the list of people with that sort of clearance is fairly small. Either way, the cat is out of the bag and the leaks are spreading, so those who are interested in avoiding any footage or accidental spoilers, now would be a good time for that social media break.

The Russo Brothers, directors of ‘Endgame,’ have released a follow-up to their letter from last year, asking fans to please don’t spoil their film. “Remember, Thanos still demands your silence,” the letter reads.

For those that are willing to brave the wild, wild social media landscape for the next 10 days, you should also be warned that press will get the chance to screen the film early next week, so if the spoilers aren’t as ubiquitous now, they will likely be all over the place by mid-week.

“Avengers: Endgame” doesn’t release until Thursday evening, April 25, so we only have just over a week left. Stay strong, True Believer.
