‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Star Letitia Wright Reportedly Spreading Anti-Vax Views On The Set Of Marvel’s Sequel

With the COVID-19 pandemic still causing issues for the entire world, and the US trying its best to get as many people vaccinated as possible, there is increased scrutiny placed on people that spread anti-vax messaging. Even if you’re just someone who doesn’t hold any power and just goes about your normal life, if you go on social media and spread anti-vax memes, you’re likely going to be rightfully called out for doing so. And for “Black Panther” star, Letitia Wright, she learned this the hard way last year. But that reportedly hasn’t stopped her from continuing to spread anti-vax messaging while on the set of her new Marvel Studios feature.

According to a report on THR, Letitia Wright has been spreading her anti-vax message to folks on the set of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” This comes after she left social media after being called out for spreading an anti-vax video last year. It appears the actress has just taken her platform offline.

Her COVID vaccine stance has already caused her issues professionally. Not only did she leave Twitter after last year’s controversy, but she also parted ways with her entire US publicity team as a result of that issue. Honestly, it’s somewhat surprising that Disney and Marvel Studios are even keeping her around, especially if she hasn’t learned her lesson yet. We’ve seen Disney quickly cut ties with folks after controversial tweets, as was evident with what happened with Gina Carano and her anti-Semitic social media posts causing her to lose her “Mandalorian” role.

And with speculation that Wright’s role in ‘Wakanda Forever’ is going to be greatly increased because of the passing of Chadwick Boseman, there will be quite a bit of attention that will be placed on the actress as that film prepares for its 2022 debut. You have to assume the COVID vaccination question will come up in the interviews she will have to do before ‘Wakanda Forever’ debuts in theaters. And if she continues to spout anti-vax statements, to say that’s a liability for Disney/Marvel Studios is an understatement.
