Over the past few years, Ayer has been a very busy filmmaker. He’s currently finishing up work on his next feature, “The Tax Collector,” as well as prepping work on other films such as a new tank-based action film and a remake of the classic ‘Dirty Dozen.’ It’s unclear which film will be the next one that Ayer will work on. Of course, no one is able to film anything right now due to the pandemic, so it could be a while before any of these projects comes to fruition.

Coben’s novels have been made into a number of film and TV series over the years. Recently, he’s seen series based on his books “The Stranger” and “Safe,” both for Netflix. Perhaps the film adaptation that is best known is “Tell No One,” the French thriller that was adapted from Coben’s novel.

Obviously, there’s no release date for “Six Years.”
