'F9' Trailer: Brother Vs Brother In The Next 'Fast & Furious' Film

The trailer for the forthcoming “Fast & Furious” feature installment has just been released. Now, fans all over the world will have a taste of what Vin Diesel and Co. are hoping to bring them with the upcoming film “F9” (yep, that’s the real title).

The action franchise is best known for its big guns and its absurdly unmanageable (yet nonetheless staggering) car chase sequences. About half a decade younger than the “Mission Impossible” movie saga, “Fast & Furious” has consistently held its place in pop culture for nigh on 20 years.

The 2019 ‘Fast’ spin-off, “Hobbs & Shaw,” offered a more fine-tuned look at two of the franchise’s bulky, bald heroes portrayed by Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. Having earned three times what it cost to produce, “Hobbs & Shaw” received a slew of lauding reviews. Following its success, there’s little doubt that the duo will return in a “Hobbs & Shaw” sequel.

“F9,” on the other hand, is the next sequel that’s already en route to completion. Even though The Rock and Statham aren’t returning for this new sequel, Vin Diesel, who plays another one of the bald team members in the ‘Fast’ franchise, is back. Diesel has been with the film series since its debut in 2001. The ‘Fast’ icon’s daughter, Similce Diesel, has also recently contributed to the ‘Fast’ universe by taking part in the new Netflix animated series “Fast and Furious: Spy Racers.”

Diesel is joined by Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theron, and Helen Mirren in the cast for this film. Once again, Justin Lin returns to direct.

“F9” is currently set for release on May 22. You can watch the first trailer below.
