'Fast X' Final Trailer: Vin Diesel & Co. Are Featured In This Oversized New Look At The 'Fast & Furious' Sequel

The average trailer is probably just over two minutes. Ultimately, these things serve as a tease for the final film, and the purpose is to show just enough that you’re going to entice someone to spend their hard-earned money on a movie ticket. Two minutes is a good length. Well, Vin Diesel likes to go over the top with his “Fast & Furious” franchise, pushing the limits of decency with regard to the laws of physics, common sense, and film budgets. And now, apparently, he pushes the limits of trailer runtimes, as seen with the final tease of “Fast X.”

Look, there have been nine “Fast & Furious” films with one spinoff over the past 20+ years. If you’ve watched all of those, you were already sold on “Fast X.” This is, no doubt, the biggest, dumbest, most explosive-y one yet. But if you need convincing, Universal has unleashed a 4 1/2-minute trailer to show you just about every scene from the forthcoming film.

It shows all of the cast members, with extra special attention given to Jason Momoa as Dante, the new, very flamboyant villain. If you are bored and needed some loud techno, Vin Diesel grumbling lines, Jason Momoa petting guns, and Charlize Theron using a laser to attack Michelle Rodriguez, give the new trailer a go.

“Fast X” arrives in theaters on May 19. You can watch the very excessive final trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge, and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves, forever. In 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his crew took out nefarious Brazilian drug kingpin Hernan Reyes and decapitated his empire on a bridge in Rio De Janeiro. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son, Dante (Aquaman’s Jason Momoa), witnessed it all and has spent the last 12 years masterminding a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price. Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry, Black-ish) is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance.
