Get Ready To Scream In Terror With The Intense, Red Band Trailer For Ridley Scott's 'Alien: Covenant'

Despite being a hugely iconic and popular franchise, you can count the number of great “Alien” movies on one hand. Of course, there’s Ridley Scott‘s original and James Cameron‘s sequel, but after that is when the debate begins. You will find apologists for David Fincher‘s studio manhandled “Alien 3,” some who will go to bat for “Alien: Resurrection,” and even I’ll give a pass to “Prometheus,” but even those who defend those movies will be the first to admit they’re all deeply flawed. Will “Alien: Covenant” be the corrective and the movie fans have been aching to see to for years?

alien-covenant-gif That remains to be seen, but the movie is doubling down on Michael Fassbender, with the actor sliding into dual roles, explaining to ComingSoon what we can expect to see from his double droids. “I think Walter’s a real different kettle of fish,” the actor teased. “David was definitely a work-in-progress, somewhat of a prototype I suppose. The elements of him that were the human elements I think people found a little disturbing, so Walter’s more of a straightforward robot. Pretty logical, much more of a servant without the ego.”

Meanwhile, the cast is pretty killer, with Noomi Rapace, Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez and Billy Crudup all in support.
