'Girl' Trailer: Bella Thorne Hunts Mickey Rourke With A Hatchet In This Revenge Thriller

Sometimes, there’s a combination of actors on a project that demands your attention. Sure, that could be said about Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” But that pairing is a no-brainer. What’s even more compelling are the combos that just seem super strange, such as Mickey Rourke and Bella Thorne, as seen in the new film, “Girl.”

As seen in the trailer for “Girl,” Thorne stars as a young woman that goes to find her dad and discovers that he was tortured and murdered. So, she does exactly what any young daughter would do when she finds her dad dead—she grabs a hatchet and begins her quest for revenge, taking on the bad guys and dispensing violence wherever she goes. Unfortunately, that puts her right in the path of Rourke’s character, leading to a bloody collision.

The idea of Thorne and Rourke working together is very strange, but the fact that “Girl” looks to be a revenge thriller set in a small town in the American South, just adds more fuel to the intrigue fire. Who doesn’t want to see Bella Thorne, who is best known for her child star roles and her current OnlyFans account, all dirtied up and vowing revenge? And how can you resist the idea of Mickey Rourke, acting as, uh, eccentric as ever, donning a cowboy hat and playing corrupt sheriff? Sign me up!
