'Hanna' Super Bowl Trailer Reveals Amazon Will Release First Episode Right After The Big Game

Even if you’re not a football fan, there are plenty of reasons to watch this Sunday’s Super Bowl. Namely, there will be a number of brand-new trailers for films that premiere during the commercial breaks. While we already know of a few that are scheduled to show up, Amazon has gone ahead and released one of its trailers a few days early for their upcoming series “Hanna.” And for good reason, as it would appear that the streaming service is pulling a “Cloverfield Paradox,” of sorts.

The new trailer for “Hanna” gives viewers their best look yet at the upcoming TV adaptation of the 2011 film of the same name that starred Saoirse Ronan and was directed by Joe Wright. Hanna is a young girl that has been raised to be a ruthless killer courtesy of her father, who is anticipating a time when his daughter will need to use her gifts to survive. And sure enough, the government comes into the picture and the young Hanna finds herself on the run, using those gifts, as well as blending in as a typical teen, to survive.

But the real news is at the very end of the trailer, which features the message that Amazon will release the first episode a month or so ahead of its March release for Prime Video members to stream for 24 hours after the Super Bowl. So, if you’re desperate for your first taste of the new “Hanna,” then you’re in luck and will have a chance to sample the goods after that pesky football game.

This version of “Hanna” stars Mireille Enos, Joel Kinnaman, and Esme Creed-Miles as the titular character.

The series is set to debut on Amazon Prime Video sometime in March.
