Heartwarming First Trailer For 'Wonder' Starring Julia Roberts & Jacob Tremblay

Not even eleven years old, and Jacob Tremblay is already a sensation. The actor broke out in “Room,” and ever since has lined up a steady stream of gigs ranging from blockbusters like next year’s “The Predator,” to indie fare like this summer’s “The Book Of Henry” directed by Colin Trevorrow, and Xavier Dolan‘s forthcoming “The Death And Life Of John F. Donovan.” Also on the horizon is another potential awards season contender in “Wonder.”

Co-starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, Mandy Patinkin, and Daveed Diggs, and co-written and directed by Stephen Chbosky (“The Perks Of Being A Wallflower“), the film tells the heartwarming story of a young boy who overcomes a facial difference, and changes the lives of everyone he encounters. Here’s the official synopsis:

Based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman.  Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade.  As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie’s extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

“Wonder” opens on November 17th.
