If Kid Cudi Is In The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Reboot, Who Should He Play?

nullWith Michael Bay and Jonathan Liebesman's plans to reboot the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" as aliens or something causing an absurd amount of shaking-and-crying among folks who should have better things to worry about, the rumor mill continues to churn, and the latest development is that rapper/actor Kid Cudi might have a role in the film.

It seems Scott Mescudi has been dropping some knowledge via social media, posting a strangely cyborg-looking TMNT sketch (check it out below) on Tumblr, saying: "An original one of a kind sketch of a unknown Ninja Turtle by one half of the creators, Kevin Eastman. A gift given to me by my homies Andrew Form and Brad Fuller over at Platinum Dunes. Hint hint mane" So is this the direction the movie is taking? Going, essentially, in a quasi-"Transformers" mode? Lord. He also hit Twitter to assuage fans as well: "To everyone with doubts & concerns about the new TMNT reboot, trust me, there is NOTHING to worry about. Trust. Everyone will be pleased!" And as if that wasn't enough, he added, "I was skeptical as well, but by no means is this movie gonna suck. Huge fans will be happy."

Man, before this thing has even been cast it seems everybody is telling fans to "chill" and reassuring them over and over that this new take will make them go "apeshit." Anyway, long story short, while nothing is official, it looks like Kid Cudi is in this thing, so who should he play? If he's one of the turtles, we see him as more of a Michaelangelo or Raphael. Or maybe he'll be the kid on Earth who becomes mixed up with these crazy turtles when their alien ship (or whatever) crash lands. Or maybe he'll be a new spin on April O'Neil!

Either way, this will probably continue the chatter around the movie, which is more "controversial" than anyone could have expected. Slated for a Christmas 2013 release, we'll likely be hearing more official word soon enough. [via Bleeding Cool]null
