James Woods' Agent Quits On Independence Day After Feeling "Patriotic"

With all the controversy surrounding Roseanne Barr’s Twitter account in recent weeks, we’ve completely forgotten to see what type of garba…err…well-educated thoughts actor James Woods has been tweeting. Well, considering yesterday was Independence Day, and as one of the biggest self-proclaimed patriots, Woods went on yet another antagonistic Twitter spree, and it resulted in some professional backlash from his own agent.

While we’ll collect the bulk of the tweets down below, we’re not going to quote them all in the article. You can read them for yourself if you are so inclined. Needless to say, the very conservative Woods decided to spend the Fourth of July attacking everyone from Obama (a constant theme in his tweets), Dan Rather, and of course, “illegal aliens.”

After Dan Rather tweeted an anti-Trump message about wanting to reclaim truth and justice, Woods fired a tweet his way, saying, “Better you have some marshmallows and be quiet.” When it came time to criticize Barack Obama, Woods definitely didn’t hold back, comparing him to a “stain” and questioning his gender by putting quotation marks around “man.”

However, things took a serious turn for Woods when he shared an email that was sent to him from his agent, Ken Kaplan. Obviously not meant to be shared publicly, Woods (who described his agent as a “political liberal’) decided to share anyway. “It’s the 4th of July and I’m feeling patriotic,” Kaplan said in the email. “I don’t want to represent you anymore. I mean I can go on a rant but you know what I’d say.”

Woods decided to publish his response to Kaplan in another tweet, saying, “Dear Ken, I don’t actually. I was thinking if you’re patriotic, you would appreciate free speech and one’s right to think as an individual. Be that as it may, I want to thank you for all your hard work and devotion on my behalf. Be well.”

So, if any agents out there want to represent Woods, he’s available!
