Marvel Filmmakers Reveal The Fates Of A Few Characters After 'Avengers: Infinity War'

**Spoiler Alert for “Avengers: Infinity War”**

Okay, it’s clear that the first time any fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe watch “Avengers: Infinity War,” the sheer amount of action is almost overwhelming. From the first second the movie starts, there’s really not a chance to catch your breath until the credits. And that’s because the film starts with the utter destruction of the Asgardian refugee ships that were seen at the end of “Thor: Ragnarok.”

But as you watch the film, you’re taken aback by the deaths of Heimdall and Loki, the beatdown that the Hulk receives, and the explosion at the end which feels like the death of Thor, that you don’t even realize there are some major characters missing from the scene. One of those characters is everyone’s favorite drunk warrior, Valkyrie (played by Tessa Thompson in the aforementioned ‘Ragnarok’). However, according to one of the film’s directors, if you were worried about the fate of Valkyrie, you shouldn’t be.

While it appears that Thanos and his Black Order destroy all of the Asgardians, Thor does mention later in the film that the purple villain only killed half of his people. And speaking to some students recently (via Reddit), Joe Russo confirms that Valkyrie was lucky enough to be part of the surviving half. Also of note, recently Kevin Feige announced that two other members of the ‘Ragnarok’ crew, Korg and Miek, who were missing from ‘Infinity War’ survived the Asgardian ship destruction.

Does this mean that Tessa Thompson is going to make her triumphant MCU return in ‘Avengers 4?’ We don’t know that yet, however, it would be a gross oversight by the Marvel Studios powers that be to not include the warrior in the next ‘Avengers’ film. That is unless they have more concrete post-‘Avengers’ plans for Valkyrie and the rest of the surviving Asgardians.

Of course, now we have to wait until next May to find out the answers, when ‘Avengers 4’ hits theaters.

Side note, Tessa Thompson joined in on the “Where is Valkyrie?” fun on Twitter by posting this tweet, showcasing exactly where she was during the final battle on Wakanda:
