Joseph Gordon-Levitt Helps Natalie Portman Out Of A Jam In Clip From 'Hesher'

When was the last time you saw a long-haired burnout help a damsel in distress?

In the first clip from Spencer Susser’s forthcoming film “Hesher,” a thrift store clothed Natalie Portman finds herself in a potentially hairy incident only to be rescued by a quick thinking Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It’s our first real look at Gordon-Levitt and Portman in the film that also stars Rainn Wilson. In the film, Gordon-Levitt plays the titular anarchist who helps a young kid (Devin Brouchu) deal with a personal loss. Wilson plays Brochu’s pill-popping father, while Portman plays the girl who tries to rescue Brochu from Hesher.

The film premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival where it earned mixed reviews but notices for Portman’s apparently career-best performance. The film has been picked up by Newmarket Films, and is expected to be released this year but has not yet been scheduled by the distributor.
