'Judy Blume Forever' Trailer: Take A Peek At The Origins & Impact Of The Iconic YA Book Author

Judy Blume is a literary icon. She’s the Stephen King of coming-of-age stories for young women. And the new documentary, “Judy Blume Forever,” offers a look at the life of the author who has written some of the most influential YA books of all time.

As seen in the trailer for “Judy Blume Forever,” the film is a celebration of Blume’s work over the decades. She’s probably best known for books such as “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret,” “Blubber,” “Superfudge,” “Tiger Eyes,” and “Summer Sisters,” among many, many more. Not only are her books incredibly popular, even to this day, but Blume’s work has influenced generations of young women. The documentary is directed by Davina Pardo and Leah Wolchok. The film includes interviews with a variety of pop culture figures including Anna Konkle, Lena Dunham, Molly Ringwald, and Samantha Bee

We reviewed the film out of Sundance this year, and in our review, we said, “It really is a celebration of Judy Blume. There are tough subjects they cover, but you ultimately leave the movie feeling really touched by her work and the compassion she has for her readers and fans, even if you’ve never read her novels.”
