'Knock At The Cabin': Dave Bautista To Star In M. Night Shyamalan's New Thriller

Dave Bautista is a very busy man. Not only did he recently wrap production on “Knives Out 2,” which is one of the most anticipated films of 2022, but he’s also expected to begin work on “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” as well as “Dune 2,” in the next year. And then on top of all of that, it appears he’s finding time to work on a new M. Night Shyamalan film, as well.

According to Deadline, Dave Bautista has signed on to star in the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan feature, “Knock at the Cabin.” It’s unclear what his role might be or what the plot of the film is, but there are surely some twists and turns afoot. M. Night Shyamalan recently released his feature, “Old,” which had an ensemble cast and ended up earning $90 million worldwide during the COVID era, which isn’t a bad showing at all. So, it’s clear Universal has high hopes for ‘Cabin.’

As mentioned, Bautista is definitely one of the biggest names in Hollywood right now. His most recent film is Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic, “Dune,” with the sequel expected to begin production sometime in 2022 to make the anticipated 2023 release date. And if all of these films, including ‘Cabin’ and ‘Guardians 3,’ stick to their dates, we’re looking at Bautista showing up in three blockbusters that year, which is an incredible feat in and of itself.

Oh yeah, and let’s not forget that somewhere in all of that is the expected action film that will feature Bautista starring opposite Jason Momoa, which is a project that started as a bit of a Twitter joke and ended up leading to a bidding war with MGM spending a lot of money to get the rights to the “Lethal Weapon”-esque untitled feature.

As of now, it appears “Knock at the Cabin” will be the first of all of those projects to hit theaters with an anticipated release date of February 3, 2023.
