This weekend, we don’t blame you for buying a ticket to for “Black Panther.” Marvel‘s mega-movie event is going to be a huge game-changer, and not only that, it’s a pretty terrific film. That said, it’s President’s Day weekend, and if you have time for another movie get yourself a ticket for “Phantom Thread.” Oh, you’ve already seen it? Well, go see it again. Paul Thomas Anderson‘s new film has layers upon layers to unfold and discover. It’s the kind of film where once you get talking about it, you just want to stop discussing and watch it again.
Case in point- stars Vicky Krieps, Lesley Manville and costume designer Mark Bridges, stopped by the BUILD Series in December to talk “Phantom Thread.” And it really goes without saying that it’s fascinating stuff, with the conversation delving into the making of the movie from a variety of angles. And while Anderson himself is absent, there is still a lot that is revealed about his process, and his openness to collaboration, which might be surprising given the assumed fastidiousness of his approach.
