'No Sudden Move': Matt Damon Will Show Up In Yet Another Film For Steven Soderbergh

When you’re a filmmaker like Steven Soderbergh, it sure does help when you have great relationships with A-list actors like Matt Damon. That means, when you’re making a new film, such as the upcoming thriller, “No Sudden Move,” you can ask your buddy to show up and appear onscreen.

According to Deadline, that’s exactly what’s going to happen, as Matt Damon has agreed to appear in the upcoming thriller, “No Sudden Move,” which is directed by Soderbergh and is expected to begin filming soon. The report claims that Damon isn’t likely going to have a significant role and might just be “an unbilled cameo,” but knowing that the actor is going to show up in another Soderbergh film is enough to keep us interested.

Previously, Damon and Soderbergh have worked together on features such as “Contagion,” “The Informant,” “Behind the Candelabra,” “Unsane,” and “Che Part 2,” and, of course, the ‘Ocean’s’ trilogy. And in the case of “Unsane” and “Che Part 2,” the actor showed up in “unbilled cameo” roles. Of course, if you’re a fan of Damon, you know that these sorts of cameos are nothing new. Perhaps a few of his biggest cameo-style roles are in “Interstellar,” “Deadpool 2,” and “Thor: Ragnarok.” This is definitely a guy that isn’t afraid to show up in a small role, distract an audience (“Is that really Matt Damon?!”), and then disappear.

Damon joins a pretty stacked cast for “No Sudden Move.” The current cast includes Don Cheadle, Benicio Del Toro, David Harbour, Amy Seimetz, Jon Hamm, Ray Liotta, Kieran Culkin, Brendan Fraser, Noah Jupe, Bill Duke, Frankie Shaw, and Julia Fox. “No Sudden Move” tells the story of a group of small-time criminals in 1955 Detroit that is tasked with stealing a document. But eventually, their plan goes awry and they realize the simple job was much more complicated and dangerous than they were led to believe.
