'Moonfall' Teaser: Halle Berry & Patrick Wilson Try To Save The World In Roland Emmerich's New Disaster Film

There are some filmmakers that release a new film and without knowing the title, the synopsis, or what actors are involved, you automatically know what type of feature you’re in for. Roland Emmerich is one of those people. So, when I say there’s a new Roland Emmerich film coming in 2022, you know what to expect—scientists, explosions, and the end of the world. Shockingly, all three of those are seen in the new teaser for “Moonfall.”

As the title would lead you to believe, “Moonfall” is a new Roland Emmerich film where the world is about to end because, well, the moon…it’s falling. More specifically, something knocks the moon off its normal orbit and sends it hurtling towards Earth. As you might expect, this creates all sorts of end of the world chaos and pretty people doing everything they can to stop it from happening.

The pretty people in question are led by Halle Berry and Patrick Wilson, who star in the film. Joining them in the cast are Michael Pena, John Bradley, Donald Sutherland, and Charlie Plummer. While the teaser doesn’t give you much to go by, it’s quite clear that these people are mainly going to be running and yelling and trying to save the world.

As mentioned above, Roland Emmerich does a certain type of film 99% of the time. This is the man who has directed features such as “Independence Day,” “The Day After Tomorrow,” and “2012.” His most recent film is the war epic, “Midway,” from 2019.

As of now, “Moonfall” is expected to hit theaters on February 4, 2022. You can watch the new teaser below:
