'Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe': Watch Bloodshot & Friends In A Feature Film Minus Vin Diesel

The recently-released “Bloodshot” was teased by Vin Diesel as being the film that could launch the Valiant Comics cinematic universe. However, with the poor box office showing (cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic), it appears that the film might not be the launching pad that the actor was hoping for. That being said, if you’re still interested in what a Valiant cinematic universe might look like, we got you covered, as you can now watch the entire “Ninjak vs. the Valiant Universe” on YouTube.

Back before Vin Diesel suited up to play the unstoppable killing machine superhero, Jason David Frank (yes, the Green Ranger from “Power Rangers”) played the character in the modest, ‘Ninjak’ webseries that was supposed to be released back in 2018. However, there were some issues that prevented the series from being released at the time, and now, on the heels of “Bloodshot,” Valiant Comics has decided to edit it all together into a feature-length film and release it for free.

As the title suggests, Frank’s Bloodshot is a supporting character in the new film, as the primary focus is on Ninjak, played by “Arrow” alum, Michael Rowe. The plot finds Ninjak (sort of like Valiant’s version of Batman) on the run from the superheroes of the Valiant universe after being forced to rob MI:6. Bloodshot is joined by characters such as Archer & Armstrong, the Eternal Warrior, X-O Manowar, and Livewire on the hunt for Ninjak and the “asset” he stole.

Having watched the film, one thing is immediately clear—Bat in the Sun Productions did their very best with what it had to work with. The production value is a little less than the CW Arrowverse shows and the acting is, well, a bit subpar. However, it’s obvious that the filmmakers all had huge ideas for what they wanted to accomplish. And as far as that goes, they really did succeed in filming a comics-accurate portrayal of what could be the next big cinematic universe.

And if nothing else, it’s an interesting contrast to the way Diesel and Co. presented the same universe in Sony’s recent big-budget film. You can watch the full “Ninjak vs. the Valiant Universe” below.
