Seth Rogen Goes For More Porn, Seth Gordon Goes For More 'Kong' Along With 'Suicide'

Seth Rogen, in an attempt to further milk the man-child image he has so carefully cultivated, is currently developing an original series for Showtime along with his writing partner Evan Goldberg. The series deals with three childish twenty-somethings who face life and relationships while working together in a porno shop. Their former gofer, Matthew Bass, is reportedly penning the script that is in no way going to resemble “Knocked Up.” [Vulture]

Execs at Universal Studios were apparently inspired by the faux-previews for the flatulence-laden family before “Tropic Thunder,” because they have decided to bring back the The Klumps back to the big-screen with another installment of “The Nutty Professor.” Eddie Murphy is not yet attached to the project, which still has no director or script. We just can’t wait, because in these hard economic times, what could be more relevant to Americans than an overweight African American family with borderline fatal digestive problems? [HR]

This image of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s 3D-version of “Alice In Wonderland” has been floating around. It looks fake and way too fey.

HBO films is the home for the biopic of the maniac comedy, Sam Kinison. The project, titled “Brother Sam” is based off a memoir written by Kinison’s brother, which was adapted into a screenplay by Shari Springer Bergman and Robert Pulcini. Tom Shadyac is set to the direct the film and loud lardbag Dan Fogler will play the bat-shit crazy comedian. [Variety]

Director of the winning documentary, “King of Kong,” Seth Gordon is set direct the screwball heist flim “Sucide Squad” for Universal Pictures (he just finished “Four Christmasses” with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon). Gordon also talked about the fictional remake of “King of Kong.” Michael Bacall (who is also set to appear in Tarantino’s “Inglorious Bastards”) has been hired to pen the script that according to Gordon will be “less of the talking heads.” Gordon also made it clear that they would attempt to build off the original, rather than try to simply ignore it, “We’re going to try, if we can, to really reference and use the documentary where possible. To me it’s about not compromising the original, if we can help it.” Gordon expects it to go into production “pretty soon,” whatever that means. Bacall is also writing, “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.” [Slashfilm]
