'Snowpiercer' Season 2 Trailer Unveils Sean Bean As Mr. Wilford

When it was announced that TNT was developing a series based on “Snowpiercer,” folks had every right to be excited. Not only is “Snowpiercer” a great film from Bong Joon Ho, but it established a world that seemed ripe for exploration. In addition, Scott Derrickson (“Doctor Strange”) was brought aboard to direct the pilot and a great cast was hired to tell the story. But then the train went off the rails, so to speak. Derrickson had a very public falling out with the folks in charge and stepped away. The show went through a number of showrunner changes and switched back and forth between networks. Ultimately, the show finally arrived and it was…meh. But the season finale did tease one fun thing—Sean Bean.

As seen in the teaser for Season 2, which is hitting TNT in early 2021, Sean Bean is front and center as the big bad of the series, aka Mr. Wilford, the conductor. The show is all about revolution and how a group of impoverished people on a non-stop train through a wintry wasteland have to rise up to take back their rights from the privileged few. And standing in their way now is Sean Bean as the man that aims to keep them in check.
