'A Very Spidey Christmas' Exclusive: Celebrate The Holidays With Two Tracks From Upcoming EP Sung By The Stars Of 'Spider-Verse'

It’s almost been a whole week since “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” was unleashed on the movie-going public, and I still can’t get the film off my mind. The animation is unlike anything seen before, bringing the world of comic books truly to life for the first time. The acting, the writing, the direction, it’s all just spectacular. But it’s the music that seems to have stuck in my mind the most. And no, I’m not talking about Daniel Pemberton’s amazing score (seriously, it made our Best of 2018, and you should add it to your Spotify posthaste). I’m talking about “A Very Spidey Christmas.”

That’s right, the silly (but undeniably catchy) Christmas album featured in ‘Spider-Verse’ has the superhero flexing his vocal muscles and performing new ‘Spidey’ versions of classic holiday favorites. And in honor of the holiday season, and just because it’s a great idea, Sony and the filmmakers decided to make the EP that was hinted at in the film a reality, complete with the actors involved singing their own tunes.

And because my love of ‘Spider-Verse’ knows no bounds (seriously, it’s a problem), The Playlist is proud to present the first two tracks from the five-track EP, “Spidey-Bells (A Hero’s Lament)” performed by **SPOILERS**Chris Pine**END SPOILERS and “Deck the Halls” performed by Jake Johnson. The rest of the EP includes additional tracks from Shameik Moore aka Miles Morales, Jorma Taccone aka Green Goblin (and member of The Lonely Island), and one more from Pine.

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse – A Very Spidey Christmas EP” is set to release on December 21.
