'Spies In Disguise' Trailer: Will Smith Turns Into A Super Spy Pigeon In New Animated Film

Will Smith likely won’t ever get the chance to be James Bond. But in the new animated film, “Spies in Disguise,” the action star gets to do his best 007, albeit, for most of the film, it appears that he’ll be a super spy bird.

As seen in the trailer for the new film, “Spies in Disguise” features Smith as the superstar secret agent, Lance Sterling. However, for his next mission, he’s going to need the assistance of a young lab tech named Walter (Tom Holland), who developed a way for the spy to get close to his target by assuming the body of a pigeon. As a bird, Sterling can still talk and has all of his knowledge, but he has the added benefits of being a common bird, such as flight, 360-degree vision, and…teeth? Here’s the synopsis:

Super spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is … not. But when events take an unexpected turn, this unlikely duo are forced to team up for the ultimate mission that will require an almost impossible disguise – transforming Lance into the brave, fierce, majestic… pigeon. Walter and Lance suddenly have to work as a team, or the whole world is in peril. “Spies in Disguise” flies into theaters this Christmas.
