“Foundation” – Season 3
Created by David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman, Apple TV+’s acclaimed sci-fi saga returns for a third season, continuing to explore the epic struggle to preserve knowledge and civilization amid the collapse of a vast galactic empire. Based on Isaac Asimov’s seminal novels, the season delves deeper into political intrigue, evolving alliances, and the mysterious powers guiding the future of humanity. “The Summer I Turned Pretty” – Final Season
Jenny Han’s YA trilogy concludes with this final season following Belly Conklin (Lola Tung) as she makes definitive choices about her relationships with the Fisher brothers—Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). The season continues to explore Belly’s coming-of-age journey amid family dynamics and romantic entanglements. Returning cast includes Sean Kaufman (Steven), Jackie Chung (Laurel), and Rachel Blanchard (Susannah, in flashbacks).

“Washington Black”
Based on Esi Edugyan’s acclaimed novel, this sweeping limited series blends historical drama and steampunk adventure. Set in the 19th century, it follows Wash (Ernest Kingsley Jr.), an 11-year-old enslaved boy on a Barbados sugar plantation, who escapes with the help of an eccentric inventor and begins a globe-spanning journey of self-discovery. “Twisted Metal” – Season 2
Peacock’s chaotic, post-apocalyptic action-comedy returns with even more vehicular carnage and dark humor. Based on the cult video game franchise, the new season finds amnesiac driver John Doe (Anthony Mackie) pulled deeper into a brutal combat tournament filled with deranged challengers and deadly new arenas. Stephanie Beatriz returns as Quiet, with Samoa Joe as Sweet Tooth, voiced again by Will Arnett. New cast additions include Rose McIver and Walton Goggins. Showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith continues at the helm, with direction from Kat Coiro and Jude Weng.

“Chief of War”
Jason Momoa headlines and co-creates this sweeping historical epic set in 18th-century Hawaii, chronicling the unification of the islands from an Indigenous perspective. Momoa stars as Kaʻiana, a native Hawaiian warrior and former nobleman who becomes a key player in the islands’ tumultuous path toward unity amid colonial encroachment and inter-kingdom conflict. The series was developed by Momoa and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, with direction from Justin Chon and Cliff Curtis among others. The ensemble cast includes Temuera Morrison, Luciane Buchanan, Kaina Makua, Cliff Curtis, and Te Ao o Hinepehinga.

“Wednesday” – Season 2
Jenna Ortega returns as the gothic sleuth Wednesday Addams in the second season of Netflix’s smash-hit mystery series. This new chapter deepens the lore of Nevermore Academy as Wednesday uncovers a fresh conspiracy tied to her family’s dark legacy. With new monsters, cryptic prophecies, and a powerful new student body president, Tim Burton directs the premiere episode. Returning cast members include Emma Myers (Enid), Joy Sunday (Bianca), Hunter Doohan (Tyler), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Gomez), and Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley), alongside newcomers Billie Piper and Steve Buscemi in undisclosed roles.

Eyes Of Wakanda
Marvel Studios expands the “Black Panther” universe with this animated anthology series, following generations of Wakandan warriors tasked with retrieving vibranium artifacts scattered across the globe. Told through globe-spanning missions and battles, the series explores Wakanda’s covert operations through time. Executive produced by Ryan Coogler (“Black Panther”) with animation by Marvel Studios Animation, the voice cast includes Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams, Zeke Alton, Steve Toussaint, and Anika Noni Rose.
Premiere Date: August 6 on Disney+.

“Outlander: Blood of My Blood” – Season 1
This “Outlander” prequel series explores the love stories of Jamie Fraser’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), as well as Claire Beauchamp’s parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine). Set across dual timelines in 18th-century Scotland and World War I, the series delves into the origins of the Fraser and Beauchamp families. Developed by Matthew B. Roberts, with executive producers including Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis.

“Alien: Earth
“Fargo” creator Noah Hawley brings the iconic “Alien” franchise to television with this FX and Hulu original series. Set in the year 2120, two years before the events of the 1979 film, the story follows Wendy (Sydney Chandler), a young girl whose consciousness is transferred into a synthetic hybrid body. She leads a team investigating a crashed Weyland-Yutani spaceship, uncovering terrifying alien lifeforms, including Xenomorphs. Timothy Olyphant co-stars as Kirsh, Wendy’s synthetic mentor. The series also features Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Diêm Camille, and Moe Bar-El. Ridley Scott serves as an executive producer.

“Platonic” – Season 2
Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne return as former best friends Will and Sylvia in the second season of this critically acclaimed comedy series. Now co-managing Will’s brewery, the duo continues navigating their chaotic yet endearing friendship while balancing career changes, parenting challenges, and new romantic entanglements. Steinberg (“This Is Us”), this limited series offers a dramatized retelling of Amanda Knox’s harrowing journey after being wrongfully convicted of the murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher. Grace Van Patten stars as Amanda Knox, with a supporting cast that includes Sharon Horgan, John Hoogenakker, Francesco Acquaroli, Giuseppe De Domenico, and Roberta Mattei.

“Peacemaker – Season 2
Writer/director James Gunn returns as showrunner for the second season of this DC Universe series, continuing the story of Christopher Smith / Peacemaker (John Cena) as he grapples with his past and seeks redemption. The season introduces new characters, including Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo), and features returning cast members Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick. The season consists of eight episodes, with Gunn directing three and others helmed by Greg Mottola, Peter Sollett, and Alethea Jones.

“Untamed
Netflix’s Australian crime thriller stars Eric Bana and Sam Neill as a pair of investigators entangled in a decades-old murder case that resurfaces in a remote coastal town. As new evidence emerges, long-buried secrets begin to unravel across multiple timelines. Created by David Caesar and written by Peter Duncan, the six-episode series also features Odessa Young, Rob Collins, Miranda Tapsell, and Colin Friels.
