SXSW Exclusive: Provocative Clip From Documentary 'Accidental Courtesy' Explores The Beliefs Of The KKK

Accidental CourtesyWith a presidential election cycle that has shockingly seen KKK and white power advocates on the fringe of the conversation, perhaps there’s no better time for the documentary, "Accidental Courtesy." With its debut at SXSW on the horizon, today we have an exclusive clip from the provocative film.

Directed by Matt Ornstein, the movie centers on musician Daryl Davis, who has performed all over the world with legends like Chuck Berry and Little Richard. However, when he’s off the stage, he likes to meet and befriend members of the Ku Klux Klan. And it’s not just a stunt. Daryl has built his relationships person by person and his campaign has proved remarkably effective, with many members of the KKK that he has connected with reconsidering their beliefs, with some even leaving the organization. In the clip below, you can see Davis alongside his friend and KKK member Frank, who shares his personal beliefs.

"Accidental Courtesy" will have its first screening at SXSW on Sunday, March 13th at 4:15 PM at the Stateside Theatre. Watch below.
