'The Boys' Season 3 Teaser: Amazon's Superhero Satire Returns In June

If the progression from Season 1 to Season 2 is anything to go by as we prepare for Season 3 of “The Boys,” Amazon Prime Video’s superhero satire is gearing up for its biggest and most devastating story yet. And now, after months of wondering when it’ll arrive, we finally know that The Seven are making their return in June.

While the new teaser for “The Boys” Season 3 doesn’t have any dialogue or give away any plot details, it does ramp up the tension incredibly well over a really short amount of time, as we hear the cameras taking pictures of Homelander and Starlight and we zoom in on the face of the former who is clearly on the brink of losing his mind. And as we know, when the most powerful superhero on the planet has a bad day, lots and lots of people could die.

Not much is known about Season 3 of “The Boys.” Obviously, it’s going to continue the story from Season 2, but we do also know the cast is growing considerably, as we are going to be introduced to quite a few new faces, including Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy (inspired by Captain America). We also know Amazon Prime Video is beginning to work on spinoffs of “The Boys,” so we might see some hints of that popping up as well.

Season 3 of “The Boys” is expected to arrive on Amazon Prime Video on June 3. You can watch the first look teaser below.

Here’s the synopsis for “The Boys”:

The Boys is an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven”, and their formidable Vought backing.
