'Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story' Trailer: The First Spinoff Of The Netflix Hit Series Focuses On The Alleged Cult Leader

When “Tiger King” debuted last year, the breakout stars were clearly Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. However, one of the more interesting B-plots of the series was that of Doc Antle, another zoo owner with a bit of a sordid past. Well, now it’s time for Doc Antle’s story to come to light in the first spinoff, “Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story.”

So, what’s the deal with Doc Antle, and why does he deserve his own three-episode miniseries? Well, not only is Doc Antle another roadsize zoo owner, in the same way Joe Exotic was as well, but he’s also an alleged cult leader and all-around bad guy. The series aims to show just how Antle allegedly used cult leader-esque tactics to charm women into his little world and potentially found himself on the wrong side of the law.

As you might expect, ‘Doc Antle’ comes from the directors of “Tiger King” and “Tiger King 2,” Rebecca Chaiklin and Eric Goode. Clearly, the filmmaking duo knows they have something special on their hands and will milk the story for all its worth. Gotta love it.

“Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story” debuts on Netflix on December 10. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:
