At the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, beloved director Martin Scorsese debuted his newest film “Killers of the Flower Moon,” which was met with praise from all. “He Went That Way” is an unusual take on the buddy comedy trope based on the true crime story of celebrity animal trainer Dave Pitts, the sole survivor of serial killer Larry Lee Ranes. Set in 1964, the film finds Bobby (Jacob Elordi) traveling along Route 66 with Jim (Zachary Quinto) and Jim’s beloved chimpanzee when the celebrity trainer picks up the serial killer turned hitchhiker. Directed by Jeffrey Darling.
