While Jedi training tells you not to give into hate, when it comes to "The Hateful Eight," you’ll probably want to walk over to the dark side. Quentin Tarantino‘s vengeance western is on the way, and he’s been making good use of the press circuit to provide long-form conversations. His latest is with David Poland, and as ever, it’s a good watch.
Don’t worry about spoilers, as the half-hour talk avoids those, but it’s no less fascinating. In fact, the discussion kicks off with Tarantino revealing that the genesis of the movie was spurred from an aborted novel he was writing about Django from "Django Unchained" called "Django In White Hell." It’s where the stagecoach scenes originated from, and "The Hateful Eight" grew from there.
Meanwhile, the chorus is growing louder for The Weinstein Company to release an official list of where 70mm screenings of the movie will be available.
