Watch: New Trailer For 'Kidnapping Freddy Heineken' With Anthony Hopkins, Sam Worthington & Jim Sturgess

Kidnapping Freddy HeinekenNot to rush to judgment, but it’s generally not a good thing when a movie featuring big names like Anthony Hopkins, Sam Worthington, Jim Sturgess, and Ryan Kwanten, and directed by Swedish "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" filmmaker Daniel Alfredson, doesn’t have a U.S. distributor and opens abroad first. But such is the case with the crime flick "Kidnapping Freddy Heineken," and a new trailer has arrived.

This one is actually based on the true story of a gang of criminals who kidnapped the titular beer baron and got the largest ransom ever paid out in history. But of course, it wasn’t the easiest job in the world, and like we said, we don’t want to rush to judgment. This does look like a decent little thriller that is perfectly fine being a (psychological) thriller with action beats, all framed with your usual genre trappings. And hey, if it’s done well and entertaining, who are we to argue?

"Kidnapping Freddy Heineken" opens overseas in spring 2015. Watch below. [Live For Films]
