The old adage used to be that in space, no one can hear you scream. But what happens if they can hear you scream, and there’s no one around to help? Thousands of miles above the Earth, there isn’t much room for error, and when disaster strikes in Alfonso Cuaron‘s “Gravity” it’s pretty bracing stuff.
A new trailer has arrived for the movie, and instead of showing a bunch of little scenes tied together by some music and corny editing, Warner Bros. has simply let one, single take, two minute clip play out. And it’s riveting stuff. In the sequence we see the disaster that hits the shuttle Sandra Bullock and George Clooney are working on, and the fateful choice the former makes that leaves her character spinning in the vast nothingness of space. It’s intense, and we have to say that score by Steven Price sounds pretty damn good.
Hitting Venice and TIFF first, “Gravity” will land in theaters on October 4th. Watch the trailer below followed by the Comic-Con panel.
