'WeCrashed' Trailer: Jared Leto & Anne Hathaway Are The Tech Unicorns Behind WeWork's Demise

Say what you will about Jared Leto’s off-screen behavior. Yes, he’s eccentric. Sure, he moonlights as a rock star and wears eyeliner. Of course, he sometimes provides cringeworthy interviews. All that aside, the man is a pretty damn good actor. So, put him next to Anne Hathaway, another proven star, and you get the upcoming Apple TV+ series, “WeCrashed.” And you get us pretty damn excited.

“WeCrashed,” as the new trailer shows, is based on the unreal true story of the rise and fall of WeWork. For those unaware, WeWork is a business providing coworking space in cities and went from being just one building to a brand worth $47 billion in less than a decade. But the fall from grace, led by its…uh, unique CEO, took less than one year.

Joining Leto and Hathaway in the cast of the new drama are Kyle Marvin, America Ferrera, and O-T Fagbenle. “WeCrashed” is written and co-showrun by Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello. The series is directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, who are the folks behind the popular TV series, “This is Us,” and the film “Crazy, Stupid Love.”
