"Suburgatory" is apparently a show on ABC. We weren't sure because we've never watched it, but apparently quite a few of you have, as the young Jane Levy (who is not Emma Stone) has taken over for Lily Collins (who bailed last month) in the upcoming "Evil Dead" remake.
The film — which is in the midst of a casting blitz having also recently signed Shiloh Fernandez — will reinvent Sam Raimi's tale through the prism of drug addiction. Levy will take on the role of Mia (apparently the female Ash of this movie), who is heading out to the woods to detox. When shit starts getting real and scary, her friends don't immediately believe her, but they'll probably regret doubting her. Buzz-worthy director Fede Alvarez is making his feature debut, with Sam Raimi producing, and Diablo Cody having given the latest draft of the script a once-over.
The film is gearing up to shoot in New Zealand in March. "Evil Dead" will make "Intervention" look like "Sesame Street" on April 12, 2013. [Deadline]
