Got a Tip?

‘Jurassic World’ Sequel Officially Dated For 2018, Chris Pratt And Bryce Dallas Howard Will Return

Jurassic WorldHaving just passed "The Avengers" to land as the third highest grossing film of all time, it was only a matter of time until Universal made sequel plans for "Jurassic World." And the goods news is that they aren’t rushing to get something out there, with the followup slated for three years from now.

The studio has pegged June 22, 2018 for "Jurassic World: Whatever It Will Be Called." Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will both return for the followup, with Steven Spielberg producing, but Colin Trevorrow likely won’t be directing. “I didn’t want to lose that privilege and just become the ‘Jurassic Park‘ guy for an entire decade,” he said about his decision to try other things. “Also, I poured everything I had into this. I laid it all out and you put a piece of your soul into these movies. I gave this one a lot.”

There is nothing currently set for the date and rival studios might be wary of taking on this monster franchise.
