Alexander Skarsgard and Cara Delevingne may have had different career paths to the big screen, but they both seem on the edge of bigger things. Skarsgard showed off his hunky talents in HBO‘s “True Blood,” and while he has since lined up plenty of indie and arthouse efforts, plus a blockbuster turn in this summer’s “The Legend Of Tarzan,” he still remains just on the outside of greater recognition. Delevingne on the other hand has plenty of recognition as a supermodel and person-who-dates-famous-people, but her movie career thus far is untested, with “Paper Towns” missing the mark, while her turn in “Suicide Squad” was almost as small as Jared Leto‘s, and with arguably less dialogue. And it’s not until next summer’s “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets” where her real movie mettle will be determined. So it makes “Fever Heart,” which will bring Skarsgard and Delevingne together, an interesting prospect.
Co-written and set to be directed by Ben Briand, making his feature debut, the movie has a bit of a bonkers logline, which Variety reveals will follow “an amnesiac (Skarsgard) who collaborates with a circus sharp shooter (Delevingne) to recover his lost memories while being pursued by an evil tracker.” Uh, okay.
No doubt this will be an ambitious effort, and we’ll just have to wait and see how it works out. Filming on “Fever Heart” will begin next year.
