But don’t worry, we’re not recommending some staid drama to cap off your summer, but an action extravaganza that has been making waves since Cannes.
Directed by Jung Byung-Gil, “The Villainess” falls somewhere between “John Wick” and “Hardcore Henry.” The story follows an assassin who can’t escape her past and must fight to survive. Adding an extra twist are the inventive action scenes, which are presented POV style, not unlike a first-person shooter. Here’s the official synopsis:
