Got a Tip?

Jennifer Lawrence Isn’t Taking A Break From Acting After All

Whenever an actor or filmmaker announces their retirement or impending break from superstardom, the countdown clock begins to them walking it back. So it goes with Jennifer Lawrence.

Doing the press rounds for “Red Sparrow,” the actress has boldly declared that she didn’t “have anything set for two years” planned to “take the next year off” to focus on political activism. Well, perhaps not. Lawrence’s rep has clarified to EW that that the actress’ break is only going to last as long as it takes for her next project to go into production. That’s certainly a far cry from taking a year or two break from working.

Among the potential go to gigs for Lawrence are Burial Rites” directed by Luca Guadagninoa Zelda Fitzgerald biopic, another biopic with Adam McKay directing, and a long brewing “funny, dirty, real” comedy with her pal Amy Schumer. So, until one of those coalesces — or something else entirely pops up — Lawrence will be busy pursuing one of the causes she’s passionate about. But she’ll be ready to jump back in front of the camera as soon as she’s needed.
