When you have names like Jessica Chastain, Patti Smith, Darren Aronofsky, and Millie Bobby Brown attached to a project, you stop and take notice. And when that project is as ambitious and unique as “Spheres,” that’s just the icing on the cake.
“Spheres” is an experience like none other. Told in three separate chapters, narrated by the talented ladies Chastain, Smith, and Brown, “Spheres” is a virtual reality journey that aims to take its audience throughout the cosmos to discover the “hidden songs” that are all around us. And to celebrate the upcoming run of “Spheres” at the Rockefeller Center, which begins tomorrow, we are proud to present an exclusive look at Millie Bobby Brown behind the scenes, narrating her chapter and also experiencing what it’s like to go on the journey through the universe.
“Spheres” is written and directed by Eliza McNitt, who is probably best known for her 2017 documentary “Fistful of Stars.” The VR experience is executive produced by acclaimed filmmaker Aronofsky and debuted each chapter in three separate film festivals in 2018, including Venice, Sundance, and Tribeca.
“We’ve poured our hearts into this experience and it’s a dream to have SPHERES at Rockefeller Center. Together, we’re making virtual reality accessible to the public,” said McNitt. “Now audiences can be transported from New York City to the heart of a black hole. I can’t wait for you to join us on this journey to the cosmos.”
For those film fans looking for a visual and sonic experience like no other, you can’t go wrong with “Spheres.” And with the talent assembled to bring McNitt’s film to life, audiences are destined for one incredibly cosmic journey.
As mentioned, “Spheres” plays at the Rockefeller Center from January 18 until March 3. You can learn more information on the Rockefeller Center website.
