Got a Tip?

Keanu Reeves, Shia LaBeouf, Sigourney Weaver New 2020 Oscar Presenters

The Oscars are officially just 10 days away and The Academy revealed more presenters for the 2020 telecast. The biggest names are arguably Keanu Reeves, Shia Labeouf, Penélope Cruz and Sigourney Weaver. To say there should be some concern about the lack of star power for this show beyond a few of the nominees is an understatement.

Officially added to the roster are “Cats” feline James Corden, Oscar winner Penélope Cruz, “Booksmart” star Beanie Feldstein, “The Peanut Butter Falcon” star Zack Gottsagen, Oscar winner and four-time nominee Diane Keaton, “Honey Boy” star and screenwriter Shia LaBeouf, 1917’s” George MacKay, three-time Oscar host and honorary winner Steve Martin, 2019’s comeback king Keanu Reeves, Maya “she should be hosting” Rudolph and “why hasn’t she earned an honorary Oscar yet” Sigourney Weaver.

These talents will be joined by previously announced presenters include Mahershala Ali, Zazie Beetz, Timothée Chalamet, Olivia Colman, Will Ferrell, Gal Gadot, Mindy Kaling, Regina King, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Rami Malek, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Anthony Ramos, Mark Ruffalo, Kelly Marie Tran and Kristen Wiig

The producers insist they will continue to announce talent joining the show. Just yesterday they revealed that Sunday’s Grammy champion Billie Eilish will appear during a “special” performance. Elton John, Cynthia Erivo, Chrissy Metz, Idina Menzel, Questlove and Randy Newman will also perform during the telecast.

The 92nd Oscars will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020 and will be televised live on ABC 5 PM PT, 8 PM ET.  “The Oscars Red Carpet Show” will air at 3:30 PM PT, 6:30 PM ET. The Oscars also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
