Got a Tip?

‘Fast & Furious 9’ Has Been Pushed Back, Once Again Delaying Justice For Han

The biggest marketing pull for Universal‘s “F9” is the promise that the film will bring “Justice for Han,” a phrase referring to the character of Han Seoul-Oh who is apparently coming back to life after being dead the past three movies. Sadly, it seems fans of the “Fast & Furious” saga will have to keep waiting to get some justice, because “F9” has been delayed yet again, and it’s all James Bond’s fault.

On Friday, it was announced that “No Time To Die” was being delayed until 2021, basically ending the 2020 big movie release schedule empty-handed. Now, it seems James Bond is taking another unfortunate victim — “F9.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal has decided to move “F9” to a May 28, 2021 release date, nearly two months after it was scheduled to be released (April 2).

So far we’ve only got one trailer for “F9” and it was enough to warrant the hype. We saw the return of Sung Kang‘s Han, the introduction to Dom’s long lost brother, played by John Cena, and even the return of Charlize Theron‘s weird villain, Cypher. Since then, we haven’t got many more details about the film, that is until Michelle Rodriguez decided to reveal that the film will finally send dom and the family to space.

That’s right. James Bond also robbed us of the chance to see the gang literally drive sportscars in outer space, which is really the only plausible place left for the franchise to go.

“F9” is directed by Justin Lin, a returning veteran of the “Fast & Furious” saga. It is scheduled to be released on May 28, 2021.
