What lengths would a mother go to in an attempt to find out who murdered her son? That’s the question at the center of the new thriller, “The Good Mother.”

As seen in the trailer, “The Good Mother” tells the story of a mother who finds out her estranged son has been brutally murdered. To help solve the case, she is joined by her son’s pregnant girlfriend, as they uncover the real story behind his death. But as they dig deeper, they uncover more corruption and dirt than they could have ever imagined.
The film stars Hilary Swank, Olivia Cooke, Dilone, Hopper Penn, Norm Lewis, Karen Aldridge, and Jack Reynor. “The Good Mother” is written and directed by Miles Joris-Peyrafitte. Prior to this, the filmmaker directed features such as “Dreamland” and “As You Are.” Most recently, he directed episodes of the drama series, “Gaslight.”

Starring two-time Academy Award®-winner Hilary Swank, Olivia Cooke and Jack Reynor, The Good Mother follows journalist Marissa Bennings (Swank) who, after the murder of her estranged son, forms an unlikely alliance with his pregnant girlfriend Paige (Cooke) to track down the killers. Together they confront a world of corruption and drugs in the seedy underbelly of a small city in upstate New York. As they get closer to the truth, they unearth an even darker secret.
