Yes, we all know that Anthony Mackie is gearing up to lead his first solo Marvel movie with “Captain America: Brave New World,” but that doesn’t mean he’s resting on his laurels until then. Apparently, he’s got a new series coming to Apple TV+, “12 12 12,” and a famous co-star.
According to Variety, Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan are set to star opposite each other in “12 12 12,” a new heist series coming to Apple TV+. The official synopsis for the series states it follows “a disgraced FBI agent (Mackie) and an American career criminal (Dornan) who play a zero-sum game of cat and mouse across Europe. At the center of it all is the daring, epic raid on a bank vault deep beneath the streets of Zurich.” The series comes from creators Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble.
Mackie is no stranger to TV roles. In addition to his Marvel series, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” the actor appeared in series such as “Twisted Metal,” “Solos,” “Black Mirror,” and “Altered Carbon.” Dornan, also, has been familiar with TV, as of late, with his series “The Tourist.” Interestingly, the duo also starred in a film together, the underrated film, “Synchronic,” from the amazing directing duo of Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson.
It’s still far too early to know when we might see “12 12 12” appear on Apple TV+. But with Mackie and Dornan attached, we’re excited to see how this one turns out.
