‘Bring Them Down’ Trailer: Barry Keoghan & Christopher Abbott Star In Christopher Andrews’ New Drama

Two of the best actors working today are Christopher Abbott and Barry Keoghan. And believe it or not, you get a chance to see both of them in the upcoming drama, “Bring Them Down.”

As seen in the trailer for “Bring Them Down,” the film follows the story of an isolated farmer who finds himself drawn into a conflict with a rival farmer and his son. Things, as you might imagine, escalate, forcing both families to deal with the devastating consequences.

The film stars Christopher Abbott, Barry Keoghan, and Colm Meaney. “Bring Them Down” is directed by Christopher Andrews, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Jonathan Hourigan.

We were able to see “Bring Them Down” during its run at this year’s TIFF, and in our review, we said, “There is some good landscape photography in ‘Bring Them Down,’ as befits a film set in the Irish countryside. A couple of well-staged “action” moments also shine. Performances are well-judged as both Abbott and Keoghan are safe hands and intuitive performers. The American Abbott deserves extra credit for nailing his Irish accent and delivering much of his dialog in Irish.”

“Bring Them Down” debuts in theaters on February 7. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Michael, the last son of a shepherding family, lives with his ailing father, Ray. Burdened by guilt over the death of his mother, Michael has isolated himself from the world. When a conflict with rival farmer Gary and his son Jack escalates, Michael is drawn into a devastating chain of events, forcing him to confront the horrors of his past and leaving both families permanently altered.
